Isla Palominito

Isla Palominito

Palomino Island is a small cay about 4 miles east of Fajardo, Puerto Rico. It is one of about 10 small islands and cayes that comprise La Cordillera Nature Reserve. A cay is a small, sandy island formed on the surface of a coral reef. Coral reefs, seagrass beds, white sand beach and rocky coast species are among the natural attractions found in Palomino Island and tiny Isla Palominito, the latter being located about 600 meters south of Palomino Island.
